    Ahhh!!! I just watched all your videos…. I am really supposed to be working on getting ready for my next art shows on my days off & have promised myself to only go on the computer to work on my cards and do my banking but since I found this blog I have been taking my breaks here! As a frustrated writer myself and knowing that there is a book inside of me as well I soooo appreciate that you actually have taken the first step. You have an amazing story already and I know you have so much to say even a God is working on the journey!
    But I had to just drop in to say…. that you make me want to come home to you guys! lol! So who ever has experienced your home has got to be homesick!!! You have an amazing family. You have done a great job. Even in all of the tapings of Heidi… never once did she ever flip out or lose control! And I know she has learned that from your example in just the few times watching you. I love your video of your bike ride and the one with Alex and your guitar lesson with your son and the little love song at the end! Thanks for sharing! Okkkaaay back to work…

      YEA!!!! AWESOME! Thanks so MUCH! You’re right abut Heids. She is a very composed woman and GREAT in emergency situations. She’s a thinker. Thanks for the compliments on the family, my treasure and greates blessing. Good luck on your book! Thats whta I want to do but I thought this migh be a good place to start.     Great videos! The bike ride one reminds me of how it looks like at “our” mountain. When we go up there in the summer time we go on bike rides to. Such a great way to experience nature! Who knew mountain Norway and mountain USA looks so much the same? Seems, like such a different place then the pavements of LA. And both you’re daughters have settled there. Hard to understand why anyone would want to choose that over this beauty!Lucky are they to always have a home with you so that they can have the best of two worlds.

    Hello :) I wanted to tell you I think Alex is AMAZING~! I lost a dear friend of mine his name was Butch and had Downs….. he was 63 years old and the sunshine in my life. Thank You for your video I will not lie I cried … happy tears…. she is so spunky and bright…. give her a HUGE hug from me please :)

    Just watched your mountain biking video. I am one of the lucky ones who also reside in Colorado. (Boulder) Love the scenery and hope to get out your way some day to check out the sights. I’m partial to Boulder and Vail :)

    Hi Darlene.
    I just came across your blog about a week ago and have been reading it every day since.
    I was planning on reading just some of it to check it out, but ended up here for hours! I like your writing style and found myself wrapped up in it. After you let the Huck Knuckler guy post (forgot his name already sorry) …you see I am 47 too…enough said..
    anyway…after you let him post…I went to his website and laughed my ass off. I was crying ….(laughing/crying) he is so funny. Anyway, when I came back to read your blog today I noticed he is not here now> so I looked in the archives and did not find his blog there either…what happened to it? just wondering…

    OMGosh!!!!

    Darlene, your’e killing me with that biking video. I am down here in flat Texas riding these boring trails and you are there in a remarkably beautiful , mountainous terrain… C’mon, what are you trying to make me do? Drool? lol That is it, I am coming out there to ride in the Spring, I am going to start saving my money now. Something to look forward to. Then, save again through the year, to snowboard and ski in the winter. Reading your posts, get me excited about life again.

    You look so dang cool on your bike, especially at your age, makes it even more phenomenal. I had my Bday last week, 44. And, I absolutely LOVE that we still bike at our age. I even still skateboard, ramps, too!! lol It freaks my neighbors out..hahaha Many of them are so uptight and not “living” that they actually can’t stand me because I bike and skate. I guess I am supposed to be knitting by a warm fire, nestled up in an old recliner. (which I would never ever own)..lol

    No, thanks. we are real woman. We live in fear at times, understandably, after all our trauma as children, yet have no fear on so many levels. I am proud of us. Thank you for sharing. I am going to make my own biking/skating video in the next couple months and send it to you. You will get a kick out of it. I wish I had women friends like you here:(

    I may move to Colorado again. It fits me more, I am an outdoors girl, this Texas heat and the allergies compound my problems. I need to be free and I am not here. I need NATURE!!

    Hey girl, you are so cute!! I love your attitude and enjoyed your video. Wow, you have a very cool life and it seems exciting! I like that you enjoy Track and Field. I love to run. Congrats on your timings in those events. Shot- put, all of that is neat! 5th place, then 6th, then 7th in relay? Wow, you are in better shape then me. being active is great. You ski, too? You are amazing young lady. I am impressed. I can see the love Darlene has for you when I watch the video, you can feel her energy and see the love in her eyes:) so sweet!!

    Hey Darlene! Thanks for sharing your videos and all your postings. I first saw you on ‘The Hills’ and let me say that you have done a total transformation from then to now. You look very happy and I’m glad that you’re discovering your new role in life. Keep trusting in God and putting Him first place in your life. Here’s one of my favorite verses:
